Communication is vital to a well-functioning team. Shell Corporate training wanted to help teams communicate about problems and successes.

InterCom helped them build an online communication tool for their high performance work teams. Team members logged onto the system through the company intranet and took a 60-question survey about how they thought their team was functioning.

The sixty questions were pulled from a database of over 100 competency-based items. Team coaches and sponsors received customized reports that pointed out areas of success and areas for improvement. Coaches use the reports with their team members to foster discussion and quality improvement processes.

In addition, InterCom designed a website to make information about Shell's team model easily available to all team participants, coaches, and sponsors.
