Newly hired engineers have taken a wide range of engineering classes at their university. Shell Global Solutions needed elearning to provide these engineers with detailed practical knowledge about pumps and mechanical seals.

InterCom created two multi-module courses for Shell to teach engineers about pumps and mechanical seals. The courses were originally designed and developed by InterCom in the 1990's. Recently, they have been updated to web training with high resolution photographs, graphics and animations.

Students can choose between text and audio delivery of the information. Exercises require the students to calculate and plot their answers, with the computer providing answer judging and feedback.
